JONNESWAY Champions the Capital Cup WorldSkills Competition: A Commitment to Cultivating Automotive and Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Talent

The 2026 Taipei City 2nd Capital Cup WorldSkills Competition was held with great distinction from May 26th to 28th at Taipei Municipal Songshan Industrial and Commercial Vocational High School, bringing together 60 skilled competitors from 15 countries for an international showcase of technical excellence. Compared to its inaugural edition, this year's competition saw a significant expansion in scope ??the number of competitive categories grew from 7 to 10 ??encompassing critical domains including smart manufacturing, digital transformation, and industrial technology. Among the featured disciplines, the Automotive Technology and Refrigeration & Air Conditioning categories drew particularly strong attention from industry stakeholders.

The Capital Cup WorldSkills Competition is conducted in accordance with WorldSkills Competition specifications. This year's Automotive Technology category assessed competitors across a range of competencies including vehicle diagnostics, electronic control system inspection, fault-finding, and repair operations. The Refrigeration & Air Conditioning category focused on specialized skills such as refrigeration system assembly, copper pipe fabrication, unit calibration, and fault diagnosis. All categories demanded a high degree of precision, technical knowledge, and hands-on proficiency from participants.
